OPERATING CHANGES DUE TO COVID-19

Thank you to everyone who has been patient and understanding with our staff. This has been an incredibly stressful time as we try to navigate the requirements imposed on us by the state/county while continuing to serve our customers. To that end, the following splash/retrieval procedures will be in effect until further notice. Please see our frequently asked questions for more in-depth information.

New Splash/Retrieval Procedures

Reservations are no longer required. We will splash and retrieve boats on a first-come, first-served basis from 7 am to 6 pm.

Upon Arrival
  1. Park in the East Parking Lot and remain in your vehicle(s) until your whole party has arrived.
  2. Monday-Thursday: Once your entire party has arrived and is assembled in the East Parking Lot, get a gray cart and load all your gear (if necessary). Send one or two representative(s), with your gear, to the boarding check-in by A dock. Call the office at 727-937-2200 to let us know you've arrived and if you need gas or ice.
  3. Friday-Sunday: Once your entire party has arrived and is assembled in the East Parking Lot, send one or two representative(s) to the check-in tent next to Seebird Canvas. Your rack number will be placed in the queue. Let us know if you need gas or ice. Get a gray cart and load all your gear (if necessary). When your representative(s) return with your gear, they will be directed to the boarding line.
  4. We will notify you once your boat is en route so you may call the rest of your party and proceed to the dock with your gear.
  5. We will assist you with loading your gear and departing from the dock.
Note: Final launch is at 2:30 p.m. on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Upon Return
  1. If a dockhand is not stationed at the end of the fuel dock, you may proceed into the harbor. If you do see a dockhand at the fuel dock, please follow his instruction. No more than 4 boats will be allowed in the harbor at one time. If the harbor is full, you may be asked to form a line and wait until a spot opens.
  2. Dockhands will assist you in unloading your gear and party on the dock, as quickly and safely as we can.
  3. On Friday, Saturday and Sunday, please allow us to rinse and flush your boat so you may depart from the marina expeditiously.
  4. If you choose to rinse and flush on Friday, Saturday or Sunday, a maximum of two people will be allowed in the wash rack area and you MUST limit your time to 10 minutes. We ask that you return Monday-Thursday if you wish to wash and cover your boat.
  5. Please respect social distancing guidelines with other customers while in the wash rack area.
  6. Enjoy the rest of your day!
Note: Boats may not be tied up in the harbor after hours on Friday and Saturday evenings.

 Frequently Asked Questions

Got a question? We’re here to help.
  • When will things go back to “normal”?

We will return to normal operations when the State of Florida and Pinellas County no longer require us to follow social distancing and group maximum guidelines. The Pinellas County Sheriff's Office has already made one surprise inspection to ensure we are complying. We contact PCSO each time the governor announces a new phase of re-opening Florida to determine if we must still adhere to social distancing and group maximum guidelines.

  • Is social distancing the law?

Yes. Like most businesses, we've been forced to make changes in order to stay open. The Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office has warned us on multiple occassions that they will shut the marina down if we don’t adhere to social distancing and group maximum guidelines. We contact PCSO each time the governor announces a new phase of re-opening Florida to determine if we must still adhere to social distancing and group maximum guidelines.
